My First Dinner Out

Hi everyone! You would have thought I'd won the Lottery..that's how happy I was last night. My hubby and I decided to walk down at the Riverfront and enjoy the cool breezes. We decided to stop in at Timothy's which has one of THE BEST recipes for crab cake around. I had the appetizer which consisted of 5 mini crab cakes (baked) and ****tail sauce. (I left the tarter sauce off) I was so excited to just look over the menu and even more elated that I was able to eat 3 of the crab cakes!! My hubby had the portobella mushroom sandwich and gave me a piece of the marinated mushroom (YUM) I remembered to put my fork down between bites and I never have difficulty chatting away so I was able to eat slowly and chew - chew - chew. I can't believe that I am less than 8 weeks out and actually beginning to eat like a real person again -- enjoying a meal out with family!

YUM! My brother and I picked & froze crab this summer, I can't wait for some flounder and crab imperial (I told him I was good for about 3 oz in a couple of weeks!) or his AWESOME crab bisque!!!!!! YIKES! I'm so glad you had a great dinner, makes if worthwhile. V

Good for you Terre....Timothy's was one of my favorite places I ate out too within the last couple of days...I stuck with seafood as well. I had approx. 1oz of broil flounder and 3-4 med. shrimp..Yummy.

That is great news! I haven't been out to eat yet. Actually I'm still not able to eat much at all. I think crabcake would be a lovely start, though. Enjoy Dianne

Sounds like a winner. Crab Cake is one of my personal favorites, especially baked or grilled. Glad you enjoyed your first dinner out. Being able to enjoy a meal with your spouse and family is an added plus, since they have to learn that your not going to be gobbling down your meals anymore either. Rob
