4 Week Check Up
Reflecting back 4 weeks ago....
***I was 30.4 lbs. heavier
***I was out of breath walking short distances
***I was fitting tightly in most of my clothes
***My skin was breaking out...due to DIET
etc..., etc......
And today I am a new person with 30.4 lbs gone three days shy of one month since my surgery...I see a whole new world already
My appt. went fairly well with Dr. Peters today. He stated I need to get my protein above 70 or more.....Currently, I am around 55-70 most times and I have hit a few days of 70 to 83 range. I am working on it!!! As far as excerise goes.....he states of course the walking but he would like me to do pool excerises/therapy due to my leg. It still bothers me @ times....He states I might benefit more from pool excerises then land excersing @ the moment. He thinks the leg issue sounds more like a nerve problem....
P.S.
Back to work very soon. And I've graduated to soft diet..YEAH!!!!
GO SHAY! GO SHAY! GO SHAY! GO SHAY!
You GO, Girl! I am so happy for you! Congratulations on riding out the pureed phase (I am not looking forward to that).
Thanks for sharing your experiences with the rest of us (especially those of us who are still intimidated by this whole process). You're an inspiration to all of us!!!!!
You are doing so well Shay. Keep up the good job. All that research and info gathering is paying off girl. If you want to go to the Kirkwood Fitness pool with me to try it out, let me know I have passes. I go to the one on Naaman's Rd. I absolutely love the water exercises. My body craves them now. I only added the land exercises at about 6/8 weeks out. I even added the treadmill & cross trainer now too. ((HUGS)) Elissa
