I was wondering if anyone was using this "internal deodorant"? And if so what do you think? Does it work? Are you smelling like roses now? Thanks for responding in advance.

Shay, I have been using Devrom for about three weeks. I didn't think that it was doing much, so I stopped last week but was told by my household that it does make a significant difference. So I'm going to start on it again. Not sure if it makes me smell like roses, but then again I'm not sure that I really want to smell like roses. I can give you some at the next meeting if you like to try them. Like I said not sure how you guage success other than the reaction of others. Your bud and dandelion, Rob

I have been taking them off and on. I can't really tell a big difference until I don't take them. I know that they do help some. In fact, I called the company to see about getting some more information on the product. I actually received it today, but it wasn't anything I didn't already have. I think since it is inexpensive, it is worth a shot. So I tried it. I definately would use it if I was going to be with a group of people in a close area. Does that make sense? Nicki

Shay, I ordered and have been taking it for about 2 weeks plus a couple of days. I don't think I smell like a rose, however it does seem to help somewhat. I take 3 a day. Rob is right, it isn't expensive. I'll keep working it to try to give you a final verdict in a couple more weeks. Elissa

What causes us to need an internal deodorant? Can anyone explain this to me? What are the smells like and when should you expect them in the post op process?

Debbie: The cause of needing an internal deodorant is due to the change in our bodies after surgery....I noticed right away once I was able to have my first bowel movement it didn't smell the same. I can't explain it...but maybe my family can and the gas smelled horrible. You can start using it right away.... Here is the link below to check it out. I haven't started taking it yet. http://www.wlscenter.com/Devrom.htm

Gail: Here is a website below where Devrom can be purchased. It is an internal deodorant. It controls the foul smell of passing "gas" as well as controlling the smells of bowel movements. http://www.wlscenter.com/Devrom.htm

OK. What is DEVROM and why are people taking it post-op? I remember posting a question about having foul-smelling breath, body odor or gas after surgery. I asked if happened and, if so, how long it lasted after surgery (first couple of weeks, first couple of years, etc.). I don't think anybody mentioned DEVROM. Please educate the pre-op. Thanks.
