Lydia, Betsy and Gwen
I visited all these lovely ladies today. Lydia was restling comfortably. She may not even remember I was there. She couldn't keep her little eyes open . Her daughter said that she was doing well.
Betsy was sound asleep when I was there. I just dropped off a card and left. She did have some juice next to her, so I know she is drinking and hopefully on her way home tomorrow.
Gwen is having a problem with nausea. I really felt bad for her. She was sipping some apple juice when I arrived, but it wasn't sitting well with her. She said they have been medicating her to stop the nausea. Let's all pray she starts to get some relief soon.
As I walked from room to room visiting today, I realized just how lucky we are to be starting over with our new lives. We have so much to look forward to. I wish these wonderful ladies a happy healthy new start.
Love,
Deb
Deb,
Thanks so much for the update on our newest posties!!! On the days that our newest friends are having surgery, I find it hard to be "settled" until I know everything is alright. So truly I appreciate all the official and unofficial angels who keep us updated. Special hugs to you!!! And congratulations to all our newest post-ops!!!
Love ya,
Tammy
Today was a busy day at Christiana. I went in to make the rounds. They were all in rooms next to each other.
Elizabeth was getting ready to go home. She looked great. She is a real princess. She had a private room. I wonder who she knows????
Gwen was sleeping so I left and came back. She was getting ready to take a shower and get out of Dodge. Says she was experiencing nausea. She's gonna need some encourage words from all of you that were nauseous.
Lydia was sleepy and very dry. I tried to find her chapstick but it had dissappeared. I wonder if she left it in the lounge after the support group meeting this morning? These girls were awesome having a meeting in the hospital. Her daughter was coming in and she'll get one for her.
Valarie, was awake from the sleep of the anesthia. She was doing pretty good until they added drugs to the IV. Little burning and nausea was bothering her. More meds to get rid of that. Otherwise she was looking good.
I am so sorry I didn't know Christina Harrison was 1 of us. I did not see her. Everyone sounded good. Looked good considering. Can't wait to get home and start their new Healthy Life. We'll keep sending you positive vibes. ((HUGS)) Elissa
