Pasta does swell in your pouchie. Seems Easy Mac and Cheese is real pasta! lol, ok ok food police.. I did add some chicken for some protein.. ate half the bowl, but now I'm really paying for it. Tummy hurts! by the way, has anyone had hiccups? I had a bad case last night, wonder if it hurts pouchie?? Take care everyone!

I get hiccps all the time, no major deal. Don't worry - mac & cheese is usally good in protein between the cheese & milk - I always fortify mine with some extra cheese too. I can usually eat abotu 1/2 a cup of pasta but the key is making sure it is NOT alDente. It must be well cooked - pre swollen to capacity so you don't have to worry about it swelling more in your stomach. Same with rice. I've found the most tolerable is minute rice and I always make it with skim milk instead of water. I just read too that if you use condensed milk when making mac & cheese it bulks up the calcium or the protein... I can't remember which..lol. Just well cook it next time stick to the regular traditional stuff - easy mac is probably not cooked well enough. ~ Love ya Kathy

Tina, I can eat pasta only if it is on the mushy side. I let it cook about 7 minutes longer than recommended. It really can sit like a rock in my little "prissy" pouch! love ya, Deb

I'm two years out and still have problems with pasta. I have found that if I use the angel hair spagetti, it does seem to do a little better then the others. I've learned to eat a very little at a time with the pasta... It may take me twice as long to eat then other foods but I don't end up paying for it later if I do it right the first time.

LOL Tina, and some say I'M the rebel Sorry your pouchy hurts. I really haven't had pasta yet...more than a bite or 2 anyway. I have had hiccups tho, I get em' when I'm full. lol along with a runny nose or a sneeze and lot's of times I'm told I take a deep sigh. I don't even know I'm doing it but hubby has noticed and he laughs and says had enough?
