Pre-Op Appointment

I recieved a message on my voice mail from Dr.Iragu office saying they need to schedule a pre-op appointment? I finished the PMRI class but received an extension to meet my weight goal. I have all my clearances but never had EGD, but I thought I would only have a pre-op appointment only after they recieved that paperwork from PMRI and I don't even have a surgery date. Can anyone offer some insight?

Your best bet is to call Mistee at Dr. I's office and ask her what does she need clearences on yet and what is the tentative surgery date? Has she tried to pre-cert with the insurance company? Maybe PMRI went ahead and wrote you a clearance without notifing you. Mistee is the one who pre-certs and makes sure you are cleared for surgery. I would start there first. Hope this helps- Nicki
