My pre-op appt was with Dr Irgau. Brett checks you first, then Dr Irgau checks you. They weigh you and that weight becomes your "starting weight or pre-op weight". Then they go over your meds to be sure you stop aspirin and things that you cannot take. They instruct you about what meds to take the morning of surgery. They give you paperwork about how to prepare for surgery (ie, washinng, diet, etc). They give you information about where and when to report to the hospital. They check your stomach again. And you need to list all of your questions and ask them at this appt. Even if you need them to do an overview of the surgery itself, just ask. Also, keep in mind that you can buy some protein products at the office, including isopure at a decent $rate. Hope this is what you were looking for. Good luck. Dianne

Aisha, The only thing I can add to what Dianne said is that Dr Irgau put me at complete ease at this appointment. It truly helped me cement my determination to continue on with the procedure when I had become a bit nervous about it as it approached. Best wishes, Tammy
