Spinning Wheels.....
I'm just beginning my journey and I'm having a difficult time finding a lap band surgeon in Delaware! I called one that was listed as doing laps but the office clerk said they do not do them. Does anyone know who does lap band surgery in Delaware? I've been researching this for about a year and now that I've made my decision, I can't even get started! I do know that my insurance carrier considers AGB surgery "experimental" and won't pay for it. But that doesn't matter, I'm prepared to pay for it myself. IF I can find a doctor.......I'd appreciate any help you could offer.
Suzanne,
My surgeon is Dr. Wynn and i also have researched this for a while. I am having the procedure done laproscopically, and i do know that i have selected the finest doctors to perform this surgery. My surgery is set for wednesday, and surprisingly, i am still pretty calm. Not too nervous, but ask me that again tomorrow night.

Hi Joe,
I got Dr. Wynn's number from Shay. I feel so relieved that now I have some direction. I see my primary care physician tomorrow and I'm a little nervous about telling him I've decided to have WLS. I don't think he'll be thrilled with the idea, but I won't need his approval since I'll be paying for it myself.
I wanted the laproscopic WLS because I had my gall bladder removed that way last year. Piece of cake! I probably could have gone back to work in 3 days.
Try to stay calm. It's about to be the first day of your new life! Good luck with your procedure. You'll be in my thoughts.
