Unusual Pain
I have been getting a pain mostly in the am it starts in my back directly behind my pouch and comes around on my rt side into mid stomach area.It gets so bad that I lay down in a fetal position until it passes, which usually takes about 10-15 min. This usually only happens once a day.I don't see Dr Wynn again until 9/10 so any help is appreciated.

Cathy,
Please call Dr Wynn and Irgua's office and tell them you want to be seen or the next time it happens go to the local ER. I had very bad pains for awhile and when I finally went to see the docs they sent me for a bunch of tests and found out I had ulcers..... they were doubling me up in pain!!! You could have a hernia, or a bowl blockage or a number of things so please just see the docs. They will take care of you!! Keep us updated!! Peace~~ Hope
Cathy,
Do you notice this pain after you have taken your iron pill or perhaps some other med? Perhaps it is associated with some other daily (morning) event in your schedule? Right after breakfast? Right before? Etc ... Reflect to see if is correlates with something you do everyday.
I agree with Hope, you really do need to call the docs and allow them to use all that knowledge that they have paid dearly for to decided what is going on. I wish I had a different answer for you Cathy ... I could just tell you that it is something minor but I don't know what it could be ... simply do not have the slightest clue. And since the risk associated with blockages and such are serious I really think that it would be wise to allow the docs to know about this. I know when I was fresh out of the hospital, I had to call Dr Irgau about pain in my calf. I really didn't want to ... I really didn't want to bother him, but I knew that there was a chance it could be a blood clot so I called him. Obviously it was not a blood clot and Dr Irgau could tell that just by talking with me on the phone by checking my symptoms. He also stressed to me that to Never, ever not call about a concerning symptom. That he wanted me to call should I be concerned about anything. And should it turn out to be a serious symptom, then the earlier they find out about it, the easier it is to treat. He gained even more of my respect that night!!! It certainly gave me a lot of comfort to know that my doctor really did care, even after the surgery.
Please keep us posted!!!
Hugs,
Tammy
Shay,
He said to call whenever I was having calf pain because there was always a chance it could be a blood clot. I seem to remember that mine turned out to be simply calf pain due to pressure from the footrest on the recliner on my calf's. However, please don't take any chances ... give the good ole doc a call! He was able to know mine was not serious just by asking me a few questions on the phone.
Hugs,
Tammy
