Hey, Denice... I just have my name and 'No NG Tube' on mine...pretty self-explanatory to any medical personnel. But some feel more comfortable putting more info on it...and that's OK, too. (((hugs))) -Karen

I have on my medical bracelet the following: GASTRIC BYPASS 2/2003 NO NG TUBES NO NAIDS/NO ASPRIN Dr. WYNN (the old phone number) The old phone number will still transfer for 6months to a year, I believe. If and when I decided to order a new metal tag for my bracelet, I would not put the doctors number this is what I would put: GASTRIC BYPASS 2/2003 DE NO NG TUBES NO NAIDS/NO ASPRIN NO CONCENTRATED SUGARS Then if there was room I would put the doctor number. Another suggestion is the following: GASTRIC BYPASS 2/2003 DE SEE BLUE CARD IN WALLET FOR EMERGENCY CARE NO NG TUBES/NSAIDS/ASPRIN I believe four lines is the maxium you can have. I always care my blue medical alert in my wallet, next to my drivers liscense. It I was ever in an accident and unconscious, more then like the police or person is going to look for your drivers licence for identy reasons, first. Hope this helps. Nicki

The no concentrated sugar is a GREAT idea. Thanks!!! I think I will go ahead and still put the new docs phone number on my next one. Lucklily, I can purchase just the name/med information plate. So glad I don't have to replace the whole thing. Nicki, where I purchased mine (on ebay) you can get both sides engraved so I think that would be 8 lines. If you want more infomation, just let me know. Hugs, Tammy
