I'm Bored!
What's a person to do with all these hours in a day? I guess I should take a nap or something. It's funny, I am bored but do not feel compelled to do any scrubbing in the house just yet, lol. I need to go on line for some unjury. I just have two samples of it and put some in my crystal lite and wowweee is it good stuff. I could comit to doing that one long term.
No more fever. No pain, which is a good thing as they never rx'd me any pain meds. So I'm thinking I'll be able to drive soon or when the swelling goes down.
What a beautiful day. I did call work to tell them how much I was enjoying being home today (I can really be a smart-a$$).
Dianne
Sorry I missed you, too. My back's not bad, the hospital beds didn't bother me too much, probably because I was never in it, lol.
My first day I got only about 20+ ounces, I have to work on that. Maybe only a little more today. A regular sized bottle lasts me ALL day and night, I truly have to try harder. How about you, Denice.
Dianne,
Where did you get this sense of humor ... you did just have surgery don'tcha know? *grin*
It is good to see you so lighthearted!!! So very glad to hear all is going well with you! I am so excited to see what the next several months is going to bring to you my friend!!!
Oh, and I know the question was rhetorical but I am going to answer anyway --- REST, SIP, WALK, BREATHE and most of all continue to SMILE!!!
Hugs,
Tammy
Diane, how can you be bored already? With all the food and liquids to try to fit in? That alone should keep you busy. Right now that is your full time job. Eat, drink, walk sip & breathe. That should take up the better part of the day. Enjoy the boys too. Have them fetch and get for you for a day or too. Try to get in a few power naps and you'll do okay. Glad to see you're up & about. You sound fine to me girl. Now you know what we mean by it's so hard to get this all in in one day. Funny isn't it. They found your switch and turned it off. YEAHHHHHHHH!!!! Call me when you have a minute. ((HUGS)) ELissa
I called you earlier and left a message. Try my cell phone 898 6079, I don't always answer the home phone. It doesn't even ring when I'm on line so I never know that someone is trying to call and I'm getting really bad about checking messages.
I'm trying to get everything in. I'm doing really well with the protein, as I don't put anything in my mouth that doesn't pack protein. I just tried steak from the processor as that is what I cooked for the boys. So far it is settling ok, keeping my fingers crossed. I'm afraid that I can eat anything but I guess it's premature to say that now. I am working hard on getting in more water. I took a walk today for about four blocks (short ones) as other than running around the house, I've only ventured to the end of my street until today.
One of my boo boos (top left) doesn't have a steri-strip on it, so I was putting gauze on it until today I have just placed a bandaid on it. Between that top left site and the bottom left site (where the stinkin jp drain was) is still swollen but the rest of me is starting to go down. That's the only discomfort I have and I've gotten used to it. Does that sound normal for a swelling there? Hope I am not whining.
Oh and am I having some weird dreams! I dreamt that I was involved in a gang shoot out! On a happier note, I dreamt that Ken Rice invited us all to his house for a picnic and he and his wife served the food from a tree house. You had to climb 15 steps straight up! Newly post-op, give me a break, Ken. I only wanted a bottle of water and asked you, Elissa if you would jetison one down to me. lol. Those two dreams are in the same night!
