Guess What? I Passed!
OMG, I wen to PMRI to see the dietician and get my final weigh in before surgery. I had to drop 8lbs in order to "pass" the class. Guess what? I did it, I dropped 8 lbs exactly! I was so excited and happy that I welled up with emotion. I was so scared that I would be a pound or so over.
Then, yesterday afternoon, I went to Dr. Irgau's fro my pre-op visit(they still didn't have any phone service and I was given incorrect directions to the new office.....anyway....). Earlier this week, I wasn't even thinking about the surgery.......after yesterday, I can't stop!
Next Monday 8/16 is my new birthday!
heeeheeeeheee, I'm so tickled!
Angie
Angie that's great! I know how terrifying those scales can be when you life is (literally) hanging on their balance. YOU DID IT!
I have an appointment on 8/16 with Brett. I will definitely be asking about you. Thinking about the surgery non-stop is good, you are thinking, listing and re-thinking all the things you need to do and that is total preparation. Listing worked for me very well. I had issues with my dog and children, etc. I typed up a detailed list about who was doing what and where there were opportunities for all to help me and distributed that and everyone's tele#'s to each other and it worked beautifully. There was an evening that noone was assigned to let the doggie out so they made calls amongst themselves and took care of it. I didn't even have to be consulted. I am being teased tremendously about the list, though. If I ask my ex or sister or daughter, etc a question they answer, "Oh, I didn't see that on the list" or "where exactly on the list was that one"!
Take care, Angie. You will do well, believe it or not the hardest part is over.
