Surgery date guess

My surgeon is Gail Wynn, I have the physician, endoscope, and the pulmonologist to see. Which the last appointment is Aug 30th. Could anyone give and estimated time for when they were scheduled for the surgeries. I work for the state and need to start accruing my time to take off for the surgery and was just wondering a time frame from the last appt to surgery date. Any ideas are helpful to me. Thank you in advance.

Welcome Cynthia. Took me a year from start to finish. Started making appointments in January 2003, surgery date was January 2004. Details are in my journal. Each person can be a little different cause they keep changing the rules. Good luck. You have come to the right place for support. Try to make the support meetings at PMRI. They are extremely beneficial. Not to mention you will meet a bunch of awesome people there. Next 1 is on Monday August 16th at 7PM. PMRI is located at Rt's 100 & 52 in the old Pellport Hospital. I waited 9 months to get my consult on april 2, 2004. My surgery was July 13, 2004. It all depends on completion and approval of tests and classes and finally Dr. Wynn's schedule.

Hi Cindy, My surgery was scheduled 5 months after my initial appointment with Dr. Wynn. I had the appt. in October and just had my surgery in March this year. I know how you mean, I also work for the State and it makes it difficult to give approx dates and times. I imagine you will have your surgery before Christmas. Hi Cynthia, I work for the State of Del as well, and after my consult in Jan. 04 I finally will have surgery on August 10th. You will get a surgery date after your EGD. Your surgery dates if all goes will usually happens within a month after the EGD. But remember every situation is different as things are continously changing.
