Odor!
There is relief. This is really a smelly subject , but one that faces many of us, and many of our significant others get to deal with. Thanks to the input from Teresa ( who introduced me to Unjury ) has now found another miracle which was recommended by her doctor. Based on her feedback I ordered DEVROM. Here's the ad:
Relax! Enjoy close encounters with friends and family. Catch a
concert. See a movie, even when the theater is packed. Go
golfing, take a long ride in the country, just the two of you.
Devrom is safe and effective and gives you immediate and total odor
control. There's no need for a prescription, no worry, and no
exorbitant expense. FDA-approved Devrom is now available in
either "Chewable Tablets" or "Tasteless Capsules."
Couldn't find it at CVS, Happy Harry's, or Eckerds, or Vitamin Shoppe. Look forward to getting this stuff.
Rob...
Tina,
If you need to ask then you must not suffer the problem. One of the most common side effects of GSB is foul-smelling gas. Of course your so sweet, you probably already smell like a rose. (Some people are too embarrased to let you know, but your co-workers may be willing to pitch in to buy a container for you.) By the number of people that were writing down the information at the WLS-NDE meeting I can tell that a significant number of people suffer from this problem. So DEVROM is an internal deodorant for the colon. By the way, for people the first couple months after GSB, I will guarantee that a toothbrush alone will not take of the bad breath that you develop as you go through ketosis. You need at least a very good mouthwash.
The gas man,
Rob
I can vouch for all the smells. I had IBS prior to surgery, I wish I'd know about Devrom then. I think it would have made Charlie a happier camper. Poor guy, he's dealt with that, sleep apnea & the snoring and all the other imperfections. He must love me to have hung in there this long. Can't wait to try it. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Thanks for clearing that up Rob. And no, I don't have that problem, I think even my co-workers would agree. lol, even though I do eat a lot of nuts
As for the ketosis.. you newly pre-ops, don't fret, it is awful, but it does go away. As well as using mouthwash, I found a tongue scraper worked very well too (at the drugstore, where you find the dental floss), although I think I used it way too many times throughout the day!
