OK, guys and gals...another milestone has been passed. And one that I NEVER in a million years would have thought possible. We went to a pool party this past Saturday. Beautiful weather, bright blue sky, white clouds. Clear, cool water. And Karen dressed in (get this) short jean shorts, strappy, sexy white sandals (complete with toe ring and ankle bracelet, I might add--could never wear an ankle bracelet before), and a light t-shirt tucked in. Bathing suit was underneath it all , for that 'just in case' it gets too hot thought, knowing I would never do it. Well, guess what? Not only did I strip down to my bathing suit, I wore it with a thin beach towel wrapped around my waist for most of the day... And nooooo...I was not inebriated. I was drunk on joy!! Ice-water all the way. Yuk, yuk. Can you even imagine???? ME, in a bathingsuit...in PUBLIC...with people that aren't related. What a change that is!! I'm not saying there isn't room for improvement..I mean, we're not talking Christy Brinkley material here... But last year, I was covered in a men's button-down dress shirt (size 4X) and wouldn't even fathom the idea of removing it. Dare we dream of a sexy two-piece and a belly-button ring? Life is good!!!! (((hugs))) -Karen

Karen, I think I saw just the suit you are thinking about on eBay. *huge ornery grin* Seriously, I am very proud of you girl. Keep up the good work. My question to you is ... did you get in the water? If so ... did you happen to notice anything different from prior years??? ha ha ha ha We went away earlier this summer and the hotel had a pool. I jumped in not even thinking ... well I sunk straight to the bottom of the pool. I mean as straight ... do not pass go, do not collect 200hundrend dollars straight to the bottom. In years past, I had NO PROBLEMS floating. Never considered the fact that I had less "bouies" (as my son calls them) to help keep me afloat this year. It was hilarious ... but really - I coulda drowned!!! Now about the belly ring ... I think I will let you be the trend setter there ... just not too sure it would be all that becoming on me. Something strange about the thought of a chubby shar pei wearing jewelry. Not a prurdy picture fur sur! BUT if you go for it ... we expect to see pictures!!! You brave girl you!!! Did I happen to mention that I am sooooo proud of you??? Love ya! Tammy

Ha! Chubby shar pei! Where???? I saw a good-looking blond who is HALF the size of her size 30 jeans a couple weeks ago!!! I'm so proud of YOU, too! You look incredible, gf!! Oh, yeah, I went in. But it was one of those slow, graceful swan dives from the steps where the hair doesn't even get wet. lol Actually, me and water in the ears doesn't agree, so I still 'float' with a noodle. And I'm not saying I didn't, like, hurry from the pool to my towel, either... Luv ya, babe!! (((hugs))) -Karen

I'll pass on the belly ring. But I'd love an ankle bracelet (now that I have an ankle) and maybe a toe ring. I gotta admit I still float. Must be my butt that is over-inflated still. My bouies are not as boyant any more either. LOL. Little steps. Now you gotta get ear plugs and a bathing cap so your hair won't get wet and do some laps. I'll bet you were beaming ear to ear, you sexy thing. Makes you feel young again. ((HUGS)) Elissa
