surgery postponed but it's not strep!

well, i was off to the Medical Aid Unit again last night. Turns out that it's not a yeast infection or a strep infection --it's a burn. that would be why the antibiotics aren't working. he kept asking me if i changed soaps, detergents, etc and i kept saying none of the above. then i remembered something.. when i was in the hospital for my heart cath a nurse was prepping me for the cath site. she opened a bottle of clear liquid over top of me and it spilled. it ran down and onto the top and right side of my private area. that is exactly where the pain is. nothing on the left--and nothing was spilled on the left cause this nurse was standing on my right side. we finally figured it out and i've been able to get some relief today.. i also developed a red rash all over my body.. seems i've become allergic to one more medication-- (that's seven now) the antibiotic i was taking for the infection the previous doctor thought i had.. to think my surgery was postponed because of a strep infection that i don't have.. oh well, i'm told all things happen for a reason.

They definatly do happen for a reason Gwen, just hold onto that. I know it is disapointing to come so far and get postponed but God works in mysterious ways right? I'm glad you are getting some relief from the pain as well. I wonder what on earth the nurse spilled on you.

Geeeez, Gwen. It sounds like the cardio appointment from hell just won't stop! How awful, what an experience. Like they say, there's a reason behind everything... Maybe you needed to know that you were allergic to this med! Keep your chin up and use the time wisely. Dianne
