A picture w/ a post & Support Group ?'s

Silliness, perhaps, but could one of you kind souls tell me how to set a photo with my message posts? Thanks!! -S Also, wondering about the support group meetings: who may go, where is the where/when information posted, what should one bring/expect, and are you gentle to shy new-commers? I've noticed that many of the messages concerning these things have been from Dr. Wynn's patients. I did not know, however, if that was a mandatory factor for participants! Again, thanks!

The next PMRI meeting is Sat 8/28 at 10am. Anyone and everyone is invited to attend. It costs $5 and is at the PMRI Christiana Care (formerly Eugene Dupont/Pellport Hospital) at Routes 52 & 100. The speaker is Brett Gordon, Drs Irgau and Wynn's Physician Asst and the topic is "GB The First Three Months" and it will be very informative. Hi! Everyone is welcome to come to the support meetings. There is a meeting this Monday night in Newport, De at 7pm. Then the next PMRI meeting is August 16, 7-8pm by Sharon Howard. After that meeting PMRI will have a meeting August 28 10-11 am by Brett Gordon. The Newport meeting meets every first Monday of the Month. Then on the third Thursday of the month there is a support meeting at the VA Hospital in Elsmere, DE. Hope you can make it. Call me at 610.925.3447 if you need more information. Good Luck Nicki

Susane, Good morning! Dianne has the correct addy for the photo submission. I used to be a photo volunteer, but since my computer crashed ... I lost all the programs/information I needed to do it. But the volunteers there can help you out, just expect a little wait cause they are swamped right now and it is summer (lot's of volunteers are on vacation and etc). As far as the PMRI meeting goes ... everyone is very gentle on shy new-comers after you go through the initial hazing process (JUST JOKING) ... seriously, everyone is simply wonderful. Just make sure you pipe up and make yourself known ... the room gets kinda full at times and we would not want to miss anyone. Those meetings are $5.00. Looking forward to meeting you there ... BTW no need to hide under your chair. Most of us post ops are no longer able to bite (into much that is)! *grin* Hugs, Tammy

Hi Susane! Welcome. I am pre-op and have been to 3 or 4 support group meetings, both at PMRI and at the VA Hospital. I plan to attend the Newport meeting on Monday. Everyone has been extremely nice to me so far...and I believe it will stay that way! I have gained so much knowledge by attending! Protein drinks, powders, vitamins - all the what works for many and what doesn't! Not to say that you or I wouldn't be different - but, why waste a bunch of money on things that don't work for others? I'd much rather spend it on new clothes! Anyway, I think the meetings are fun and for $5 dollars the info you gain is well worth it. Hope to see you soon! Valerie
