hello everyone I am a new member and most say since I have found this site I have been obsessed with it. your stories give me hope. I have had my first appt. with my surgeon Dr. Miller and I am now going through the testing part and waiting for my second appt. to get surgery date. Have a great day everyone

Welcome Teresa~ My name is Jane and I am also a patient of Dr. Miller's. I had surgery a year ago and am a support group leader for North Wilmington. Hello Shelly I was wondering how long it took you from you first visit with Dr. Miller to your second and then when you went to your second to get your date how long did you have to wait to get actual surgery, I know it is probaly everyones burning question How long will it take. I am just trying to somewhat get an idea to do a little planning. thank you for taking the time to answer my questions . Teresa

Teresa, I sent you a presonal email, but decided to post for others that may be lurking. I had my initial consultation on March 24, 2004. I then had my surgery July 1. It took about about 3 1/2 months. It goes fast. Good luck on your WLS journey. ~Shelly
