Have you tried any of your old favorites? I had several of mine today .. 2 oz of pot roast on 1 piece white bread with 1 tbs mayo - - chewed very well & ate slow but yummmmmmmmmy 1/2 cup preparred (boxed) fettechini (sp?) alfredo - Hey - that has 11 grams of protein!! And lastly - perhaps not so good for me but a Hot Dog - with a little ketchup - no room for a bun and it was still satisfying! I am not one that looks at every carb I eat - I check protein & sugar on the label & so far that is it. For now I'm not concerned abotu calories either although I know some are. It was just good to feel - normal. But better then normal. Why? Before "normal" was that I could have easily eaten not 1/2 a crock pot roast beef sandwhich - but more like 2 of them, on rolls - with potato salad.... The pasta?? I could have eaten the whole pan myself - and hot dogs?? With fresh Martins long potato rolls? I could have had 3 of them with rolls & chips or fries. But this, this was better - more "normal" plus zero guilt and no feeling of stuffed to the point of feeling sick either physically or from remorse. It's a good day Today I am just over 9 mo post op, 7 months pregnant with a precious baby girl & down 130 lbs... wow... As long as Amber remains healthy & thriving I am so happy to be this blessed. Love ya'all!

Allow me to introduce myself Kathy. My name is Jane and I had surgery last July. I am sitting here in awe of your super accomplishments as well as awesome news of a new baby. The Lord blessed me only with one child so whenever I hear of someone having a lil one it gives me goosebumps. I have been reading everyones posts on this site for a while but I have always been like a wallflower, sitting in the back of the room and just nodding my head to all that is said. (I usually read from this site around 5 am) But enough of that. LOL. I want to add my 2 cents. I look to ALL of you for support and advise as I am not perfect in any way. I struggle everyday but just feel so alone way down here in MD. I wanted to thank you for your positivity, and again congratulations on the wee one. Take Care and God Bless~Jane

Kathy, Eating normal foods is such a good feeling! My family and I went to Timothy's at the Riverfront last night and I had Chili and a salad. That was good. But I also got to sample (very small) my son's cheese fries and my daughter's onion rings. Just enough to satisfy the tastebuds. Then I walked the riverfront while they had their desert! We all went home very satisifed!! Ken
