PRAYERS PLEASE

Oh my gosh, Shay, I'm so very sorry to hear about your friend. Exactly what happened--do you know? I'm a diabetic as well so this really concerns me as I'm scheduled for surgery the day before you (Aug 9). I was treated as a type 1 diabetic for 22 years and then was told I am a type 2 about four years ago. As a result of being treated all those years with the wrong type of medications (insulin instead of pills or both) I've developed complications and then I had a reaction to one or more of the prescription medications I take for diabetes, blood pressure, etc. This is actually the reason I'm having the surgery--to get me off my meds and give me my life back. They've screened me pretty well--I'm exhausted from all the doctor's visits and the process in general but I'm also very appreciative of the fact that the team is being so very cautious. I feel confident that I'm in good hands as is Gina. Nonetheless, please know that she's in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep me updated.....Gwen

Dear Shay, It is done. I will continue to pray for her recovery, for peace for her family and friends and for her physicans and hosptial staff tending to her needs. It is an honor to lift up a fellow "sister". Thank you Shay for bringing the need to our attention. HUGS, Tammy
