A Time for Refelection............
Hello Everyone,
Last night it really hit me how lucky I am to have found Dr Irgua and Dr Wynn to preform gastric bypass on me. I don't remember what really got me thinking about gastric bypass. I think it was something I saw on TV and did some research on the internet but I am not sure exactly what the trigger was. Last night I went to a viewing of a wonderful woman my Mother and I had known for years. We hadn't seen in her years but we knew her long ago. She was morbidly obese weighing over 400lbs. The last ten years of her life had went down hill physically due to her obesity. She ended up on disability because of her weight and the damage it caused her body she was unable to work anymore. Sharron was a bubbly person that everyone loved! She always had a big "Hello" for everyone everywhere. She died Tuesday while under going dialysis. She was only 52 years old.....had just turned 52. They listed the cause of death as Heart attack.... but we all know it was obesity that killed her.
I can't thank God enough for helping me find this surgery to relieve my body of the obesity. I am blessed I came through this surgery healthy without complications (besides some ulcers). I am thankful to have all of you to tell this to and for support when I need it. The idea that I could have been Sharron in 19 years shocks me. I can only pray that I can stay on this regimine to keep the weight off and I know I wil be able to do that with the support of all of you.
Thanks for listening and I hope all is well with everyone!
Peace~~ Hope
ps..I am hoping to replan the picnic for September
Hope,
We are all lucky to have you as a friend. Take every day as a new day, and remember noone is perfect so if you slip up today, just make tomorrow your best day. A quote from Roxanne Moore, Maryland State Dept. of Education, Baltimore in USA Today today: "Positive attitude and a sense of humor. This helps you jump back when you have a setback. Rather than feel like your a failure, you need to not dwell on it, make light of it (I enjoyed that ch....cake, but I won't eat it tomorrow) and move forward with a positive attitude." Another one by Joann Berggren, "Weight loss and maintenance are very difficult. In order to be successful, one must realize that all changes are for the rest of one's life. You must be determined to succeed."
Our anniversaries are quickly approaching.
