I'm Back from Vacation
I had a nice but humbling time with the family. The whole trip made me appreciate how far I have come and that I really should be proud of myself and all the work that I have done. I think it also, rejuvenated me and helped me realize (even more) how important it is to me to maintain my weight loss and continue to strengthen my body. It is so important to give my body great nutrition. I knew all this before, but this trip just reaffirmed it even more. I wasn't able to always eat the healthiest and I sure could tell with my energy level. My sisters and I all looked the best we have ever looked. My oldest sister, lost 25 pounds through Curves and my little sister (the bride) lost 30 pounds through LA Weight loss. Then of course me-lost 140 pounds through surgery. I also noticed, now that I have lost weight, I even look a little like my mom and sisters, which I was always told before that I looked like my Dad.
I also took the time to spend more time with my Dad, which in the past I would have seen him once and that was enough. But this time was great, I even created new memories with him.
I was also given a surprise by my girlfriend. She invited some old college friends to her house for dinner, the same day I was there. SO I haven't seen some of the these people since December of 1992 and wow how much fun that was. They were in shock to see the new me. I was 320 pounds when they last saw me.
My sister was very glad that I sent pictures home first, because the shock would have been too much for her to take in. What a nice compliment-from her. She also, told me how proud of me she was and that I helped motivated her. We had great bonding time, this trip. I will go back in April (for a confirmation) and May (for a graduation).
Thanks for all the support and I will be at Saturday's meeting at PMRI. I can't wait-it seems so long since I have seen everyone. I feel like you all are my second family.
Hugs and Love
