Oh, man!!

Boy, I passed up a piece of homemade strawberry pie that looked awesome. Boy did I have to exert some will power. Only to have someone ask for the recipe after the dinner and guess what. It was made with sugar free jello & splenda. I was so pissed. I could have had a piece. I even told the lady that made it I wished I knew that it was made with Splenda so I could have had some. Oh well next time. Live & learn. ((HUGS)) Elissa
oh, and on that note. I somehow found myself inside the Golden Corral recently. (I was outvoted this time by the family, which I guess is fair, with all the concessions they've been making for me).
Anyhow, I wanted to tell anybody that ventured in there that they have a shrimp bar now (raw, steamed, grilled, and um, deep-fried...) as well as a sugar-free dessert bar. I was actually quite impressed with the variety.
Still ate way too much and I still hate going to those 'all u can eat' places now (who would have thought a year ago?!) but for the most part, I was able to make some great choices.
