Inspirational books?
Hi all,
Anyone have suggestions for inspirational-type books about gastric bypass/weight loss surgery?
NOT a cookbook, (but with some recipes is OK).
NOT a how to, (evaluate surgery, find a surgeon, get thru insurance info...).
I guess I'm looking for something that talks about lifestyle changes, facing challenges after surgery....
THANKS FOR YOUR SUGGESTIONS

Hello,
I have read any book I can find on gastric bypass surgery. The best so far is a book I am reading now called "Exodus From Obesity" by Paula Peck RN. This book is more for the post op patient which most of the other books I have read tend to be for the pre op patient. Paula Peck adds humor along with seriousnes. I highly recomend this book. Also I have read "Finding the Thin Person Hiding Inside You" by Barbara Thompson. That book is great for the pre op and for the first few months after surgery. I have also read both of Carnie Wilson's books which were very good. "I'm Still Hungry" by carnie Wilson was my favoite by her. I have also read "Living and Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery" by Susan Maria Leach..... it was okay but it was not as informative or enjoyable. I hope this helps! I am always looking for gastric bypass books to read!
Peace~~ Hope
