Fatigue?
Folks it's been 6 weeks since my surgery..I'm down about 25 pounds...I'm a little disapointed because I hear of others being down much more by their 6 week mark.. but I wont get discouraged... I'm still happy to be a loser
I just started back to work on Monday and I'm exhausted! Is that normal? I mean by mid-day I'm ready for a nap and by the end of the day I'm dragging. I haven't even been able to go to the gym because all I want to do is get in the bed as soon as I get home.
I assume that it will probably take me a while to get back in the swing of things.. but whew I'm tired!
Hi Tisha,
Your weight loss is GREAT! As far as your fatigue goes a couple things come to mind...first are you eating enough to give you the food energy you need to carry you through the day, second are you drinking enough? Mild dehydration often shows up as fatigue. How about your vitamins, are you getting in your B-12 and Iron? You should be having your first blood work before long and that will give you some insight to vitamin levels etc.
Try coming home from work and maybe getting a walk in after dinner, or maybe get up earlier in the morning and get one in along with some extra fluids. That might help. And once again, make sure you're actually eating enough. lol that sounds so funny to hear now doesn't it
I hope you're feeling more energetic very soon. Take care.
Linda
Tisha, everything Linda said, plus keep an eye on your BP. My Blood pressure went down to 110/40 around week 4, I was exhausted by 1pm. I was lucky in that I was IRIF'd/retired from my job of 23 yrs, and am on severence until August. So I could get in a power nap in the afternoon. I am 5 months out & my energy level is better now. In the meantime I exercise for 2 1/2 hrs every morning. I do hair 2 days a week to keep me busy. (I never let my Cosmetology license expire). Plus its under the table.) Hope you feel better soon. Let your DR. know how you feel. ((HUGS)) Elissa
