No drain
Hello everyone,
Thank you very much for the support this past weekend. I was very concerned about the drain that was left in. There was still ALOT of blood coming out of it (120cc's per day). I went to see Brett on Monday and to my huge surprise he removed it! Oh do I feel better. I slept on my left side last night.
I am still extremely tired and did a blood test today for anemia. Once before I bled alot from surgery. I didn't realize I was to begin walking alot right away, but Brett said WALK! I went to the video store last night and parked four rows back, through the store and back to the car. ENOUGH
Today was my cardiologist appointment, and had good news. Already removed from B/P medicine. I stopped it when I came home because my pressure was so low and dreaded the thought of crushing that thing. Today HE gave me his approval with monitoring. If it stays where it is it will soon be a thing of the DISTANT past. He doesn't want to see me for six months.
Maybe you can answer a question although I will ask Dr. Wynn next week. I thought that you were NEVER to take asperin again, which was a part of my regime. My Cardiologist wasn't too happy for me to remove that medication. Any comments out there?
The aggitation is lifting. I think it was the vitamin. I now take it right after I eat something like oatmeal or potatoes. Seems to be working.
Thanks again,
Mama
Mama,
So glad that you are feeling better!
Congratulations on being taken off of your BP meds!! That is awesome! I am off of one of my BP meds and hope to be rid of the other one next month.
Absolutely NO ASPIRIN!!!!! No NSAIDs either!
Keep up the walking. It helped me SOOOOO much right after surgery.
Ken
Mama, Sounds like Brett took care of that nasty drain. When he pulled mine out it felt so weird. I commented that it felt like he was pulling my hiney thru my belly. He just laughed. Wonder how he'd feel if it was him. Wow, your BP went down fast. I was taken off both both BP meds at 54 weeks. My BP went to 110/40 and I felt fatigued. Much better now. Yes, you can't walk enough unless your name is Ken and he does 20 miles a day, (I think). I hated the chewable Flintstones and as soon as I went for my month checkup I changed to swallowable vitamins and calcium. They were so fruity and sweet to me. I didn't do well with the Actigall at all, it tasted so awfull in applesauce and crushed pineapple, but I have no trouble swallowing them now. Feels good to sleep in your own bed and taking a shower was like heaven. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. ((HUGS)) Elissa
