Hi Shay, My pre-op instructions were to shower and wash my hair the night before surgery, again the morning of surgery, and to wear no perfume, powder, lotion or nail polish to the hospital. Not sure if they ask you to remove the acrylics or not. I always keep my nails done, lol it was one of the first things I did when I got home. Sip, pee, nap and break out the nail polish Linda

Hi Shay, I don't know about acrylics, but they taped my wedding ring since they would have had to saw my finger off to get it removed.

Hi Shay, I have acrylic nails. I did have clear nail polish on my hands. I took off the red polish that was on my toes. As long as they can watch the color of your nails you should be okay. But if in doubt, ask Brett at your pre-op visit. ((HUGS)) Elissa

I had my nails and toes done.. I had a clear color on my acrylic nails though and I had no problems. They didn't even look at my fingers except to put the pulse/ox monitor on my finger.. thats it... Tish

Hey Shay - It's good to see ya girl! I had my nails done right before my surgery! You know the DIVA in me - I just had a french manicure and I had my nail cut down - I usually wear mine pretty long! The only thing the did was put the pulse and the oxygen thingy on them! blessings - B
