support meetings

I keep reading about support meetings. I would like to attend one. I have not had surgery, but am still researching. I have my first consultation with Dr. Wynn set up. So can anyone tell me of a meeting in or near Wilmington, DE. Mary

Hi Mary, There's a support group meeting at PMRI (Dupont Preventative Medicine and Rehabilitation Institute) each month, on a Saturday morning 10-11 am, and/or a Monday night 7-8pm. PMRI is on Rt. 52 near the cut off for Rt. 100. The next one is on July 17th and July 19th. If you call Dr. Wynn's office I'm sure you could get better directions and more info, or maybe someone from DE can help you more! The cost is $5 but it is well worth it, you'll learn a lot! Kit

There is also a meeting the first Monday of the month in Newport. And one the third Thursday of the month at the VA Hospital in Elsmere. Both of these are less formal,,,more of a peer group than instructional. Let me know if you want more info. Ken
