re: 5 month Dr. Visit update
Monday I had my visit with Dr. Baag. Great news!!!! Cholesterol down to 183 from 275. Waist went from 60.5 to 48. BP 11/50. He was extremely pleased. I grabbed him and gave him a big hug and thanked him for helping me loose 26% of my weight. I couldn't have done it without his support and guidance. I told him that this time next year I hoped to be at 50% loss. He said it would be up to me. He also said to spread out my protein over the day more. No more than 20gr at a time. He said it was a waste of money to do 60gr at a time. I said I must be doing something right, I'm not loosing any hair. He said to watch out too much can cause kidney stones. Too much protein could cause them. Gosh I'm a believer. I'll do as he suggests. Don't have to tell me more than once. I have replaced my food addiction with a new addiction. Exercise & this web site. He said he hoped that we all replace the bad eating habit with new good habits. It's definetly working for me.
I went to the support meeting at PMRI on Monday night. Margaret Keenan, head of physciatry at CCHS, had a really interesting meeting. Good to see everyone, old & new. Okay everyone, Stay Healthy & fit.

ELISSA!
HOW WONDERFUL! Congrats on your successes!
Thanks about the facts on protein intake. I was thinking if I took in as much as I could -- you know add Unjury or something like that to everything I ate -- the more the better! I see that I am wrong! I have a problem with kidney stones so I guess I'll have to be careful about that too.
YOU GO GIRL! I can't wait until I can experience some of the wonderful things you are. Thanks to you, and all the posties out there, for being such great inspiration!

Elissa,
You looked great on Monday. And so chipper. I heard from PMRI that they may restrain you, Nicki, and Tina from participating in future meetings or at least from sitting together. Much too much positive energy and fun coming out of you three. Just remember, we are not supposed to be enjoying our new lives. I thought the meeting was great, especially in comparison to the previous same topic, and particularly enjoyed talking to people after the meeting, especially the woman (forget her name) who asked me who I was there to support.
What an ego boost.
