New Cook Book!
Hi everyone,
I was in borders on Friday and came across this great Cook Book. the tittle is "Eating Well AFTER WEIGHT LOSS Surgery" by Patt Levine and Michele Bontempo-Saray. The cost is $16.95. The nice thing about the book is that it covers recipes from breakfast to desserts and at the bottom of each recipe it has a key for Lap-Band; ByPass;BPD-DS and others (meaning family and friends). It breaks down each with the weeks so if you are by-pass during week 1 to 4 you know how to eat it (pureed) and how much --- or not to eat it at all and then progresses to week 5 etc.
I also saw the Eating For Life book that Julie mentioned at the cooking class but it was $35 and I had to take a rain check on that one. I actually wanted the recipes for the shakes out of that book so if any-one has them let me know.
Also have another suggestion for the pre-ops: Bring flavored lip gloss to the hospital so you can at least taste something! I am also going to bring some relaxation CDs and earplugs and some smooth jazz. Music always relaxes me.
