Moving along...

WOW, Christiana Hospital called today to pre-register me for my surgery on 8/2! Everytime I hear something surgery-related it seems more and more real. I have my EGD on 6/29 and my surgeons pre-op on 7/15. I have to laugh at myself because when I was waiting, waiting, waiting for a surgery date I whined to all of you "HOW LONG????" Thanks to all the posties who told me to be patient, that time would move quickly, because you know what -- you all were right and it did! Kit

Sure is! And it just goes to show that mindset is everything. While I was researching, preparing and waiting for approval, I thought the day would never come. I started with another Dr. over a year ago and by then I just wanted it to happen NOW. But God works in mysterious ways, and I had to go through so much testing and retesting with the first Dr., that when the appt. I made with Dr.s Iragu and Wynn (7 months prior!) came along I was still pre-surgery. I was not totally comfortable with my first choice and I was ready for a second opinion. When I met Dr. Iragu in March, and decided he was the surgeon for me (which was almost immediately!), and got into the classes and support groups, I really felt time started to move more quickly. Once I got a surgery date, now it's just zooming by! So all you out there just starting out, hang in there! Your day will come too! Kit

One step at a time . . . and then Zap ! The waiting is down to single digit days and the jitters creep in. And before we know it it's done. Well, uh, er, How many days until August 2? And soon, before soon, you'll be on the losing side . . . and so will I Congratulations! Diane C.
