Do real men post?

This is more of a curiosity question. An interesting tidbit. Does anyone know how many men have had GSB in Delaware in the past couple of years? I know that Clint, Ken, and Joe (soon) but that seems to way out of proportion. Maybe I missed the meeting that said that men were not allowed to attend support meetings or post on-line. Or maybe, other than the four of us the rest of the guys have all the answers and they don't want to give up the club secrets. Rob

Good question Rob.....I dunno I know Leigh's hubby Chris had the surgery. And "our" friend Don (from the V.A.) support group. Hey, Rob I know Don may have that answer.....LOL ask him @ the next meeting. Sorry, couldn't resist!!!

That's a good question Rob! Come to think of it, I do see the same male names all the time that post. I would surely hope that there are more of us out there!! -Joe-

Hi Rob, I know of 2 other guys that do not come to the support meetings or post online either. 1 had WLS in May of 2003. The 2nd just had surgery 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure why they don't. I'll speak to their wives. I'll let you know if I find any answers. In the meantime keep up the good job guys. We need you. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Hey Rob, I think mostly women do have the surgery but in my opinion it seems men think they do not need the support of others. Most men want to be 'strong and powerful' and not show a weakness. I think its stupid but i believe it is true. Hope

Do real men post? Hmmmm such a deep question for so early in the morning *grin* but I will give it a shot!!! IMHO, yes, they do my dear friend! I (and I am sure all the other ladies) certainly would consider you and our other gentlemen around here ... "real men". *grin* Seriously, the answers to your real questions I have not ... but just wanted to let you know that I for one appreciate all the input on this site and at the support group from not only the women, but from the men also. I think it helps to keep us balanced in our outlook on WLS and life in general. Soooo men, please keep on posting and supporting!!! (This is coming from someone who has been a little cut off from the support lately with a broken down computer - this support truly is wonderful and unbelievably helpful and sincerely missed when I can't get online or to support group) Hugs, Tammy

No way, I LOVE men. I'm thankful for the men that post here. It makes the group a whole.
