Reaction to PMRI Meeting????
Curious about people's reaction to the PMRI meeting on Saturday. My perception is that the speaker was not very comfortable with the topic or the group. Luckily the group kept the discussion lively, especially the question about sex drive. It's amazing how many of you are chasing your spouses around the hourse. Hope to see people tomorrow night at WLS-NDE in Newport. health .groups .yahoo .com /group/WLS-NDE/

Davinci syrups can be purchased right from the manufacturer:

They are great to work with, they ship quickly. Don't make the mistake I did. They offer both sugar-free and sugarful. They shipped me the sugar-free for free even though I had made the error.
Hi Rob,
It's funny you mentioned this topic. I was telling LB after the meeting that the discussion was exactly the same thing that she talked about to us in the Life Skills class that I am in. It was the exact same thing!!! I'm guessing that she just used her same notes for the support meeting as she did with my class.....which by the way, was discussed about 3-4 weeks ago!! Just thought I'd ring in with my two cents!

I thought Lisa Pistone was a little unprepared. She read her notes on depression and had some vague stats on divorce after WLS. If you have a good marriage before it can get better. And visa versa if you have been settling because of poor self image, you might find the desire to find a new love. She touched on loosing friendships. Her whole speech took her a total of about 10 minutes. When she was finished she asked us for input. Thank goodness we are an interesting group. We kept the ball rolling.
My hubby shared what a cheap date I am now in response to "How do we present or not present our food needs in public." Some do & some don't tell. Some of us had nutritional & protein questions which Lisa could not answer. But again, the group filled in nicely with personal experiences. Overall since I have been coming to the meetings for a year now, alot is repititious, but since I am now on the other side I look at everything with a different perspective. Like Rob said, "this is an oppurtunity to meet new people and form new friendships." My theory is, ya win some & ya loose some. NEXt!!! Till the next time. Be happy. Life is so short. ((HUGS)) Elissa

I think part of the problem is that she spends her "counseling" time with the pre ops and does not have any follow up with the post ops - how can she speak about the changes when she hasn't talked to any of the post ops to know first hand. She even said something about not having contact with post ops during her presentation. IMHO, her knowledge was book knowledge and it appeared that she was not very sure of that. I didn't learn anything new at this one...
On the other hand....it was great to get together and see the AMOS friends! Everyone looks great!
((hugs)) Carla
