Annoyed!
Hi friends,
I was scheduled for an appointment on Monday with Dr. Lenhard. I called the office today to give them my referral number. I was told, you don't have an appointment on Monday. I replied I have the appointment card in my hand. She said that Dr. Lenhard cancelled and will not be in on Monday, and that all of his patients were called. I said no one called me. She said that's because you didn't have an appointment! Once again, I said I have the card in my hand. She said Dr. Lenhard will not be bac****il August. You can see Dr. Baag on Monday. I explained that my insurance only covers Dr. Lenhard. So my choice was to pay up to $120.00 or reschedule. I know this seems petty, but Dr. Lenhard has cancelled on me one time before this. My last visit with him, he forgot about, and they had to call his other office to have him drive over. I waited 35 minutes. I explained that I had blood work this week, and she said if anything is wrong they will call you. I said Dr Lenhard requests new blood work one week before his visit. I asked if they would send me a new script in the mail for the August visit. The reply was no. Thanks for listening.
Hi Debbie,
I don't blame you, I'd ber completely pissed off at that! It's very irritating when supposedly profesional people can't admit they've made a mistake. Would it have killed her to acknowledge the fact that you may have had an appointment and not been notified of the change?? Nooo, can't admit something was overlooked. UGH, I say type yourself up a nice little bill for YOUR time and inconvenience and mail it to em', $120.00 bucks should about cover it

Deb,
That's such a shame. I hate it when people who are supposed to be working WITH the public act so rudely! I also had appointments "mysteriously" dissapear from their books and also ones cancelled at the last minute.
I've had a problem too, with my insurance claim and PMRI. BC/BS PPO accepted everything I've done in the way of test or consults except the PMRI appts. ONLY because -- BC/BS said PMRI did not provide enough info on their receipts to process the claim. BC/BS contacted PMRI to obtain the missing info and PMRI absolutely refused to provide any additional info, because "they don't do insurance claims." I must of heard them say that a million times! Fine, but at least TRY in the first place to give us all the info we need to know to process the claim ourselves.
I guess it's not important when it's someone else's time or cash!
Sorry to vent about my own problem, but I wanted you to know some of us can relate and know how you feel.
I hope it all works out OK.

That is completely ridiculous. My advice is to talk to Dr. Wynn next time you see her. Explain the insurance situation and she may agree that it is fine for her to review your labwork and after that 6 moth lab I don't think they look at it again until 1 yr (for normal people of course not me...) ANyway - that way you don't have to deal with waiting until August and that way the bloodwork you had this week will count. Do you know if Dr. Wynn was CC'd on the lab work? Probably - but if not you can request PMRI to fax a copy of the lab work work to Wynn's office. I DARE them to reply no to that!
I would be pissed too but it is not worth letting it bother you. I woudn't have paid the $ to see baag either.
Deb-
That is too bad that you were treated so rudly. I couldn't get BC/BS to cover my appt. with Dr. Bagg, so I talked with Dr. Wynn and Brett and they said they would follow me with my blood work. I still get checked every 3 months. I always have my family doctor copied on it and most of the time the family doctor calls me first with results, before Dr. Wynn/Brett.
You looked really great at the PMRI meeting. You are shrinking!!!
I too had problems with PMRI saying I didn't have an appt when I showed up there all the way from Smyrna. I also had my appt card in my hand! Go Figure! I think they are a bit too busy and forget to put the appt in the computer after they had already given you the appt card. So, I stopped going there and Dr. Wynn does my follow up bloodwork and she cc's my primary care physican.
