Protein Help!
Hey Latisha,
Sorry that you don't drink milk. Have you tried any of the alternatives such as soy milk, or carb countdown. It sure makes it easy and fun to enjoy protein. End of sale for soymilk.
Everyone has their own taste. I didn't like the BeneProtein either and really have not found many protein bars that have any taste. I can't stand IsoPure. The only one that even is tolerable to me is the Grape, and even it taste like watered-down kool-aid. It is also pretty expensive and hard to get since the Vitamin Store is not very reliable about restocking.
Another alternative is using Unjury protein powder with your meals, or mixing it into Crystal Lite. You can't taste it. You can add it to hot soup, hot drinks, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, cottage cheese, just about anything. Each scoop is good for 20g of protein.
One last alternative is to make yourself protein drinks with a smoothie maker using frozen frui****er, protein power, and ice.
Never met something that I couldn't add protein. Rob
The cheapest place to get isopure is The Vitamin Shoppe. Also you get a card and every item that you buy is a point...(for every dollar you spend) I think it is. At the end of the year the points add up and you get ("whatever" for your points) The 20oz bottles of Isopure are $2.63 a bottle for the alpine punch and the apple/melon. $3.00 for the grape Frost I dont know why there is a price difference. I just noticed that today. Maybe their prices are going up?? Not sure, but other places are too high. Carb busters for the protein ice is 3.49 a 20oz bottle. I dont know how much their isopures are going for but I bet its higher than the vitamin shoppe (thats on 202 by the by across from all those resaurants!) Best Wishes!!!
