Hello friends :)
I wanted to take a minute to post while I was feeling up to it & God forbid before something else happens! lol.
1st, thanks to al of you that sent me well wishes, called or sent an email to the hospital. The clown came to see me last Wednesday & brought emails & a bill! lol.
As for what happened... the short story.. My gallbladder has been bad for well over a year. We missed the opportunity to remove it prior to my bypass and then after the bypass.. well because I got pregnant we had to wait unless it was unbearable. Added to that was the fact that I was having some issues "intestinally" for about 2 weeks. I knew they were coming to a head but I had no idea the reason for that.
Last Sunday - 23rd I was having such severe pain all across my stomach, under my ribcages and in my back that I called Brett & he said to go over to the ER. They got the pain under control as best they could & admitted me. Through the night & most of Monday I was pretty dang sick - I'll spare you the pretty details. Monday afternoon Dr. Wynn went in to do surgery on what we thought was just removing my GB. Turns out I also had an intestinal hernia which was responsible for some of the pain I was having and the intestinal issues as well. It was right around the "Y" and they fixed that and added a few stitches I think I remember them saying to hold it in place.
This progressed wonderfully from there - I was feeling great, just sore. The baby seemed to be doing very well too - I don't mind telling you I was TERRIFIED over having surgery while pregnant. I was released on Thursday afternoon.
Saturday morning.... Sever pain started about 10:30 - back to the hospital - let me tell you Saturday on Memorial day weekend is NOT the day you want to have an emergency in the Maternity triage area... it was a bad experience to say the least. Ended up getting admitted again but not in my room until about 11 pm. Oy. Best they can tell there may have been a problem with a stone or a leak but the tests they do to confirm this are radioactive tests and I can't have them because of the baby. With any luck - this is now all behind me & will no longer be an issue.
So - I was released today and though my abdomen is sore, that is about it- I am so happy to be home, I missed my family so much.
Thanks for the long chat Deb - also I'll bring the Tupperware orders to you guys at the meeting on Sat.
Love you & thanks again
i'm so glad you are doing better now. i will make darn sure to say extra prayers for you and your family. i can't even begin to imagine the stress you are under right now. i had 2 very high risk babies and was on total bedrest for both for 6 months each. this is when i gained all my weight. i hope everything goes smoothly from here on out for you and your family. big hugs and belly rubs- fran
