What are angels? What do they do? I'm 29 days away from my surgery date at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Does that make a difference? Just thought I'd ask. Diane Cook

Diane, Angels or mentors keep in touch with the family on the day of surgery and post to the rest of the folks so they will know how you make out. Also if you have any questions try to answer so you won't be too stressed about it. She will try to help you stay focused and positive. Usually its a good idea to try to get someone that lives close by and has the same Dr. Each Dr. has a slightly different approach to this WLS and may have different requirements and suggestions. I believe that you should follow your own Dr's rules. Just makes it a lot easier. Whoever said they had a pack of angels was right. The support that you receive from the folks here is incredible. I have had Twins, (mother & daughter) and 3 other single Angelette's. It is comforting to know that the support is so strong. ((HUGS)) Elissa
