I am doing and feeling great.............Doesn't even feel like I had the procedure done. The only problem I am having is drinking and eating, I always was a big fluid drinker, now I find myself drinking more than I am eating. But I will get pass that. If anyone wants to chat about it I am on yahoo and AOL as luvlydeb.Take Care Debbie

Debbie, I am pre-op and won't be having my surgery until August. But I am a big fluid drinker and am worried about that too. My suggestion -- AND I WOULD NOT DO THIS WITHOUT CHECKING WITH THE DR OR SOME THE OPINIONS OF THE POST-OP'ER'S -- If you like to drink more than you do eat, can protein shakes be a meal for two or three of the six meals? I'm pretty sure the PMRI nutritionist said it was OK...BUT CHECK FIRST. Kit

Debra, Fluids are good. Just make sure that they are packed with protein. I traded the diet gingerale pre-op for crystal lite laced with unflavored unjury. 20g of protein. I have my strawberry Isopure worth 50g in 12 oz skim milk worth 10g. That's 80g already. Then I fill in with flaxseed cereal, soup for breakfast and lunch. I try to get in 2/3 oz of either meat, tuna, turkey, fish, chicken, pork and veretables at dinner. I figure I'm getting 5 meals cause I count the protein drinks as a meal. This works for me Debra. Check with the nutritionist, they can guide you best whats good for you. Good luck. Glad you're doing this good already, ((HUGS)) Elissa

That's great, Deb. Glad to see you posting. Also join us on the MSN site. I'm bad with pasting and all that but go to "Tammy Tammy" 's profile and click on the link to "PMRI Friends" and join us there, too.
