When's your birthday?
Hi Linda,
I will be 41 on June 23rd. I'm 4 weeks post-op right now, and excited about the fact that my size 18's fit again! It is very exciting to know that this time next year, I will be wearing no plus size clothing. I've been in plus size clothing almost all of my adult life! NO MORE! Right before surgery, I cut up my Lane Bryant card and closed my account. I won't be shopping there ever again.

Well, I had my surgery at age 30!! The best present I could have ever given myself! I just turned 32 on May 10th.... I'm very lucky to have had my surgery at an early age. God Bless Dr's Wynn & Irgau!!!!
I'm having fun chasing my 2 year old dght & 6 yr old son... and not to mention my hubby is enjoying chasing me!!
Just got back to the Delaware site after visiting 49 other sites. Delaware is first for a reason. Good topic Linda. It's amazing trying to guess a person's age prior to surgery and then after. Well I just turned 25 last month. No, no, no.
I'm 50 and healthy (wealthy in some ways). I started researching the surgery back in May 2003 weighing 340 pounds, more than many of the starters on the Eagles offensive line. I was lucky and had no insurance problems, scheduling problems, or delays to deal with and went in for my surgery on October 6th, 2003 (325 pounds). I have a wonderfully supportive family who have not cut back on their take-out meals, or pizza dinners to make me feel better. My wife, and two kids, were totally saturated with the perils of the surery prior to my going under the knife. My wife and I attended all the PMRI sessions together prior to the surgery and they were extremely informative and gave us the opportunity to meet some extraordinary people. The amazing thing is that there are so few men that go through this surgery that take advantage of the support network. Nicki and Clint provided greated support each month.
Checking in now I am hovering around 200 pounds (can't seem to go below that 200 mark yet). Totally happy. The surgery has given me a new lease on life, and a new outlook on the future. Trying to decide on what challenge that I hope to undertake in the near future. Keep 'm smiling.
