Linda, I'm glad you posted this. I'm reading everyone's post and of course here come the tears. I'm so proud of everyone. It's really great seeing all the changes and sharing it with friends!

Hi Linda, I guess I'm the oldest to reply. I was born on St Pats day in 1947 which makes me 57. Surgery is in 2 months so I can't wait to feel younger like everyone else says I will feel. I'm ready to kick some butt! Kathleen

Hi Kathleen, I was just wondering if you had any trouble with an age requirement? I had just heard that Dr Wynn/ Iragau has an age cut off of 54 at the time of the surgery?

What a great idea Linda!!! and a little fun too. I was born 12/30/64. I'll be 40 this year. I agree, I feel better than I have in years. and a HUGE thank you to all of you for helping to inspire me to get here! I see Dr Baag tomorrow afternoon for a 6 week check up. I'm guessing that my loss will be about 45 pounds. I'll post tomorrow night with the official number. No matter what...I haven't seen this weight in about 15 years! ken

Well, I was in Las Vegas last week for my birthday. May 19th I was 55, going on 39. I have lost a whopping 80 lbs since January 26th. 4 months. Awesome. I feel great. I was in size 28/30 pre-surgery and the other night I fit in a size 20 dress. My husband still doesn't know what to make of the new me. I have 2 girls who are so proud of me & 3 grandkids who I actually tossed a hover disk in my front yard with. They are really cool. The wind takes them up, up & away. I want to thank Dr. Irgau and Dr. Wynn. They're the best. Thank you God for this wonderful oppurtunity, but most of all I thank all my new friends. For being there and going on this journey with me. ((HUGS)) Elissa

i'm 31 and my birthday is december 6th 1972. i have been married for 12 years and have 2 daughters. my oldest daughter is 11 and her name is kalen and my youngest is sara she is 9. i'm a hairstylist and a violinist(strange mix i know). i was in the german land-kris symphony for 4 years and i'm looking forward to playing here in delaware. i feel having wls has been one of the best things for me and my family. i'm at peace with myself and no longer self hating. this helps me to be a better wife and mother. i never wanted to go anywhere or do anything pre-op, now i can't stay still. my family is so proud of me and very supportive. i have put myself back into my family instead of just viewing them from the sidelines.

Hi Everyone, Great topic LB I was curious myself I am 30 and my b-day is Jan 26. I am now down 54 pounds!!! Just recently started to loose again. I feel really good. Not great yet as I still have alot more to loose. But compared to my highest weight (HUGE difference just in daily routines even). I have one son, Matthew, who is 5 and has joined his first baseball team!!! He is so excited. He will be 6 the end of june and is the sunshine in my life He understands that I had surgery and will make comments like "mommy when you are skinny we can go kayaking together" and do this and that. Gives me a great reminder to why I had this surgery in the first place. For myself and my family. So that I can enjoy doing all the things that I can't do right now with my son and my husband. My husband Kayaks and man am I jealous. I cannot WAIT until I can do that Best Wishes everyone! Elizabeth M -54 lbs!
