I was wondering how old everyone is. Curious about WLS in different phases of life. So out with it....come on and tell I'm 42 August 5 and NOT going on a cruise ( lol no jealousy here over Joe's cruise huh ) So far the last 9 weeks have been amazing. I feel like I have turned back the clock 20 years because I feel so good. Looking back, all the hurry up and wait for surgery was SO worth it. I'm definitely glad I did this. The only regret I have is it wasn't available to me much sooner. It's lind of sad thinking about the last few years spent feeling so crappy. Then again, things happen in their own time. I prefer to think of it as time spent waiting for some great surgeons to be trained! Hope everyone is staying cool these hot days, Linda

Hi Linda, I was 43 April 5, I have two almost grown kids Christa 17 and Jack 15, Christa loves horses, and Jack loves 4-wheelers, I would love to be able to join both of them in their hobbies. My love is the ocean, I can't wait til I can go parasailing. Stay cool Dana

Linda, I'm 37 and getting ready for a trip to Disney on June 13th. I'm excited about going this year. Last year I wore a size 26-28. I'm now wearing 16-18's. I can fit in a booth and will not need a seat belt extender. Life is great! I can now walk the parks and breathe at the same time. lol

I was 33 on March 8th. I have been married for 12 years and have 3 wonderful daughters. I used to wear a size 26/28 top and 24 bottoms. I now wear a size 14! This year I will climb the lighthouse in Cape Hatteras which is something I was never able to even attempt before! God Bless Dr Irgua and Dr Wynn!

Linda- I am 34 and loving life. I was a 26/28 pre-op and now 15 months later I am a size 10. I never ever thought I would get down to a 10. I would have been happy at an 18 or even 16. So needless to say that in itself is the greatest reward. In July I will have my extreme makeover revealing when I go to South Dakota and see the family. I haven't seen them in over a year. I can't wait. Then my next goal-to maintain the weight and possibly go back to school. I am just starting to research it out. Something I wouldn't have the guts to do earlier. I always wanted to switch careers, but never wanted to go back to school. So the idea might become a reality. Only time will tell. Hugs Nicki

My birthday is Sept 22 - I will be 42 and I agree with you LB - I feel 20 years younger these days!! All of you who are pre-op - HANG IN THERE!!!! Your day will come! We're all in this together! It makes everything different in your life! This weekend I'm flying (without a seatbelt extender needed!)out to California - we're going to Disneyland and then we've rented a convertible to drive up the coast. For the first time in many years, I'm truly looking forward to vacation. And we're planning activities instead of looking for buffets or planning places to eat. I know I'll be able to walk through the park without sitting down at every park bench or gasping for breath (unless I'm on the Tower of Terror - ) I know I have a long ways to go yet, I'm not even half way to goal - but I can fit in booths, I don't have to pull my seatbelt all the way out anymore and I feel great. And thanks to Dana - I have some great new things to wear!! ((hugs)) Carla 384/292/175

Well, I'm 39, and will be 40 on August 3. I can't believe I will be 40 this year, either I'm in denial..or I'm just feeling so much better post-op. Or, maybe its having 3 young children (ages 11, 4, and 2); My weightloss is going great! I did get a bit over-confident today when eating some turkey slices...It got stuck! That hasn't happened in a while...so, just because I'm 3 months out officially...i'm still learning! Carla, email me your phone number! I don't have it anymore! Have a wonderful trip to California! Hugs, Kimberly
