Lucky in Vegas
Hi Alll! I'm back from 5 sunny warm days in Vegas. I didn't win any money, (you have to bet in order to win) but I lost 5 more lbs while I was there.
The Hilton has a great fitness spa, walking track and pool. I was up & out early everyday 5:30 AM and did good with my proteins and food. It pays to be prepared. Thanks Rob for the emergency Unjury! The resturants were excellant about my food needs and really worked with me. They got to know me and brought me a glass of skim milk to mix my protein drink as soon as I sat down. The Star Trek Experience was fun. Marge, my neighbor is a "Trecky", she was absolutely breathless the whole time. She spent 4 hrs shopping in the Star Treck store alone. (It wasn't that big). Didn't get to see Celine Dion. She cancelled all shows for the last 2 wks due to an injury on Mother's Day. We had a wonderful dinner at Caesar's. I had lobster bisque to die for and about 2 oz of prime rib, so tender it was easily digested. We decided to take a helicopter ride to see Hoover Dam, Lake Meade and the best of all the Western rim of the Grand Canyon. I tried to talk her landing and getting off the helicopter to go white water raffting down the Colorado River, but she was afraid. Plus it was another $150. Next time. I knew I'd lost weight cause you have to get weighed to ride the copter so they can distribute the weight evenly. I proudly told her what I thought I was last Dr's visit and was 5 lbs less. Whoppee!!!! So I am officially a LOOSER, but a BIGGER WINNER. Can't wait to come to next months meetings. See ya'll there. ((HUGS)) Elissa
Hi Elissa,
Sounds like a fun trip and a bonus that you lost weight while you were away. I'm so jealous, it sounds awesome to have all that fitness equipment at your disposal and I'm glad you took advantage of it.
Just as well you didn't see Celine, her perfume gave my niece a rash Next trip you definitely need to do the white water thing. That's on my list of things to do in the future!
The last meeting was good, everyone looks wonderful. Will be good to have you back for the next one.
