Ultra Sound This Morning....

Good Morning All, I am having an ultra sound done this morning for the pains I have been having in my abdomen. I saw Dr. Irgua finally last Thursday and he wants me to go for this and if this shows nothing then he wants to send me for a CT scan and if that shows nothing it is off to exploratory surgery. I am hoping it goes no further then the CT scan. I have been having these pains for awhile now in my right stomach area. They get so bad sometimes I can't do anything but sit down. Relaxing usually helps relieve the pain. I am curious as to whether it is just nerves or something. Dr. Irgua doesn't seem to think its anything too serious or else he would have had me have these tests done sooner. He gave me a prescription for pain meds but I haven't filled it yet. I don't want to take any prescribed pain killers. Other then that I have lost 112lbs in less then 8 months. Only 15 lbs to until I hit my goal of 140lbs. I can't believe this time last year I weighed 269lbs! Life is so much better even if I have the pains! I am also awaiting insurance approval for a tummy tuck and thigh lift. I have rashes that burn and even bleed! Buying clothes is a problem since I need a smaller waist but need room for the apron of skin. Best wishes to those of you awaiting your surgery! Hope- I am glad that you are getting some test done. I to had the pain on the left and right side in the intestine area. I ended up with surgery as you know two weeks ago. It was an internal hernia where the small intestine went through the hernia, twisted bowel and scar tissue. The cat scan, xrays and barium drink (lower and up gi) didn't show any of this. I am glad to hear that you are not ignoring these syptoms. I am not trying to scare you but I thought I was losing it when this all happened to me and turns out I wasn't. I would be in so much pain and doubled over and nothing would help. It was everytime I ate more than an ounce. I am praying for you and please let me know what the result is. Hope and Nicki... I am so sorry that you are and have been going through this physical pain and confusion. Thank-you both for sharing your situations...although I would never wish this kind of thing on anybody, I'm glad that you are sharing the trials and tribulations with the rest of us so we can be on the look-out for any potential problems.
