Disappointed and Angry...

I don't know what is going on at PMRI, but I was assigned to go to the Life Skills class by the Psychologist starting on May 12th. Today I got my confirmation with a receipt for the 12th in the mail, then about 2 hours later I got a phone call saying the class had been canceled, not enough people. So they signed me up for June 14th. Talking to my girlfriend I told her I was so angry I should just forget the whole thing. She said to sleep on it, give it a couple of days before giving up. Tom

Tom...please dont give up...Take it from me..It is totally worth the wait..I know it can be a frustrating process..but u will be kicking yourself in the end if u dont stick this through..

Hi Thomas, Definitely sleep on it! I know it's extremely disappointing for you but in the great scheme of things, what's another month? It really is SO worth the wait. Feel better, Linda

Tom, Try to stay focused on the end results. None of us has had it easy, some harder than others. I started on this quest in January of 2003. My surgery date was Jan 26, 2004. I'm 3 1/2 months out and can't believe how quickly the time has come and gone. This is so worth it, just try not to get frustrated. Read all our journals. Hang in there Tom!! Don't give up, as the others have said, IT IS SO WORTH THE WAIT!! And the time will pass by quickly. It does strike me as odd that there were not enough people to have the class - there are so many waiting for the surgery and in the process of beginning their journey, I would think it would be too many people for the class - but anyway.... Please think about it before giving up - ((hugs)) Carla

Thanks to everyone for your encouragement...I've slept on it and talked it over with my regular Therapist I see and your all right. It's only another month I have to wait. I have waited a year just getting up the nerve to do it so I can wait....Thanks again. Tom
