I had my 4 week checkup with Bret this morning. I am doing well. I've lost 35 pounds!!!! I feel great (a little tired at times). I'm trying to walk 2 -3 times a day for a total of about 8 to 10 miles per day. Usually don't get past 6 miles in a day. Busy, busy, busy!! Ken

Great job Ken, But you didn't mention two important things. Are you off the crushed meds now? Does that mean real food is on the horizon? The six miles a day is great. One tip that I found out is that most physical trainers don't want you doing the same exercise every day. They would rather have you do cardio (like walking or stairs) every other day, and do some weights or circuit training on the alternate days. It gives the body time to heal. The worst thing that can happen is that you pull something and get into a funk. Now you have officially moved into veteran postie status. I think that means you get to sit in row five at PMRI. Keep up the good work, Rob

Bret didn't say anything about the crushed pills. I'll have to call and ask. Yes, I am progressing to solid foods. As for the exercise....Bret also said quite a bit about mixing up the aerobic and weight training. I am going to join the small gym in my building at work as soon as I go back. That way I can go in early, or do it after work....or even at lunch time! Ken
