Weird Eating Thing Happened

The strangest thing just happened to me while eating dinner. I made a fish fillet...one of those Gortons things that comes 2 in a box, lemon pepper. 3 oz and 17 grams of protein each....so anyway, I'm about halfway done eating it, I looked at my plate to take another bite and all of a sudden it just completely grossed me out. Out of nowhere..BAM! EW! Down the garbage disposal it went. It agreed with Madam Pouch, that part was ok, it was more the thought of it and the way it looked all of a sudden. Boy do I know where yor coming from!! This happens to me all the time.And for the life of me don't know why.I can be eating something then all of a sudden I get so grossed out I can't even swallow so it gets spit out.My sense of smell has also been hightened I can smell things that no one else can.My family thinks I'm going off the deep end.LOL!! i'm now 8 months out and i just started getting this feeling over the last month. i will be hungry and make something that i like to eat, but then even before i eat it i start to feel sick and i throw it out. i don't know if it's the smell or what.

That's is weird. Save it and send it all to me, I'll eat it!

I had the same thing for about 6 months after my surgery. It will get better!!! I promise!

Linda, That is weird, but it happens all the time. I eat some of my dinner then have to cover it up so I can't see it. It does kinda gross you out. I thought it was just me. I swear the Dr's turned a switch on somewhere to turn me off food. I'm not complaining. I am happy and I hope it stays this way. Now if I can get the switch worked on for my roomie, Tina, so she won't let those nasty doughnuts trap her again. I did call her just to check on her while I was on vacation. We laughed about if everyone is truely honest, we will all admit to cheating a little. When I want to cheat I go for salt & vinegar potatoe chips. All I need is 3 or 4. God I love the salty stuff. Thank you for posting this...I also thought I was crazy...This is happening to me. I am only a week out and this seemed really strange... The smell thing is happening also..I have a heightened degree of smells now.

Its a small world...I had the SAME exact thing happen to me!!! I had gotten the same gortons lemon pepper and ate 3 bites and couldnt fini****! I ended up giving it to my husband who LOVED it. Needless to say that icky fish is now always in my freezer! I have the salmon from Gortons in my freezer but havent tried that one yet. Sort of scared to. Elizabeth M
