All requirements completed?

I was very fortunate. I saw Dr. Wynn April 2, 2004 and May 3, 2004 have completed Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Nutrition Class, PMRI history and physcial Nurse visit, psychologist, and finally Dr. Baag. I received my clearance for all and turned it in to Dr. Wynn's office. Do you think I will have to wait long for and EGD or Surgery date? I called my insurance and something is pending with Dr. Wynn's office?? I have received explanations of benefits for all of my visits this month for the exception of Dr. Baag since it was just on monday. Everything has been paid and processed. Will it take a few months? What do you think? Cindy

Hi Cindy, The surgical schedule seems to be shifting and changing all the time. I was moved up by 3 weeks when I had mine. If you are flexible on your dates, let the office know and perhaps they can put you on a cancellation list. Good luck! Linda

Cindy, I doubt it will take too long once you have your surgery clearance from the Insurance because it is usually processed within 30 days and is only good for a certain amount of time afterward (I believe). Congrats on getting everything completed and out of the way. Now just take this time to continue to study about the surgery. My suggestion is to read as many profiles as you can also. I was able to get a lot of good information and encouragement from them. But at the same time, remember to listen to your doc first and foremost. Only he/she knows YOUR complete medical history and YOUR needs. Please be sure to let us know when you do get your date!!! Again, congrats!!! Hugs, Tammy
