Hi Vee, Wishing you good luck and a speedy recovery! Don't pack too much for the hosp, you won't need it. I ended up using 2 of their gowns ( one on right one like a robe ) because I had enough wires on me to qualify as cyborg and it was MUCH easier. I had slippers with me and never touched them because they put those little slipper sock bootie things on you when you're admitted. I left them on the whole time. My feet were swelling because of all the fluids they were pumping and it made it easier just to keep them on. I took a book and a crossword puzzle and never opened them once! Get up and walk as soon as you possibly can, you will feel so much better after moving around and make sure you use your incentive spirometer too! Those 2 things go a long long way in a successful recovery. See ya soon loser! Linda

Keep your peace at that positive attitude flowing and we'll keep you in prayer. You'll be be-boppin' around before you know it. Lord, thank you for your perfect peace. Watch over Vernette now, during the surgery and after. Strengthen her body and guide the surgeon's hands. Bring her speedy recovery and bountiful success as she walks through this life-changing procedure. Thank you for your grace and mercy. Amen. Diane C.

Vernette, You will be in my prayers tomorrow! I agree with Linda, don't overpack! I brought too many things I didn't even touch. Just use their gowns..like she said, you'll have so much hooked up to you. Please know we will all be thinking of you! Hugs, Kimberly

Ditto on the don't take too much advice. Here is all I have to add... Take tooth paste - they will give you a brush & paste too but their paste is a little harsh. Take lotion. I don't know why but my face & hands were so dry they hurt - if you forget - no big deal - just ask the nurse & they will bring you a little bottle of Keri. In fact - ask for just abotu anything like that & they will bring it to you. Just if you are picky about your brand then you may want to pack it - otherwise - use theirs. Walk & breathe & sip.....walk & breathe & sip.... say it with me now, walk & breathe & sip Best of luck & wishes for a fast & healthy recovery!
