HI Nicki, You have been so much help to me with the plastic surgery! I think it could definetly be muscle wieght you are gaining since you are working out. I have read about this and I know it becomes a concern to post ops. I doubt it is the strawberries in your protein shakes. Keep us updated! You are atrue inspiration and so kind to all of us!! Hope

Nicki, You have my support and prayers. See ask and you shall receive. Now about the gain, okay so you gained. Sit down, log what you're eating and make sure you are getting enough protein in. If that isn't a problem then it is probably the lifting and just general fluid retention. Don't get discouraged. But it's good that you can get a handle on it and take care of things before it does get out of hand. Stay focuced. Maybe we should try to have a Sunday evening chat on the weeks we don't have meetings to reinforce us. Something else to think about. I won't be at Saturday's PMRI meeting, going away for a week. I'll miss everyone. ((HUGS)) Elissa

Hey Nicki, It seems wierd responding to the pro. You may be gaining back from some of the surgical loss. But from a rookie persective, are you still getting in your water intake. Protein intake. Some of the people at WLS-NDE said they were limiting their carb intake. Might want to research a little on obesityhelp.com to check out craving control. Number one remedy is to stop worrying. You are exercising and lifting. The last thing you want to do is "I want to nip this in the butt now!!!", after all you just got rid of that butt. If you want to talk feel free to pick up the phone and call. We could also schedule a mini-support meeting if needed. I hate when these meeting all happen at the first of the month. Your friend, Rob

Hi Nik - 6 lbs can be from anything like the water weigh to the scale having been kicked on accident. How do you feel? (Other then scared of the ugly weight gain monster?) Are you still feeling strong and healthy? Do you think you are consuming that many more calories that you could have gained 6 lbs - of FAT? Strawberies are great & I'd have to doubt they would alone make you gain anything but you may have something if you think it is making you eat more - and the more you are eating is like an extra 1000 calories a day. Tammy had a good idea abotu keeping a long to just to get an idea of what you are consuming - probably will ease your mind. I think you are awsome & btw my husband thaought that was a really good picture in the news journel. Keep up the great work & keep your head up.
