Welcome Vee and congrats on your upcoming surgery! For me personally, the pre-op fast was not really a problem once I got past the middle of the first day. I tried to keep something to drink with me at all times ... for me it was Fruit20 ... felt like I had to be cheating because it was so good. And keeping busy is certainly a good idea ... I also stayed away from the kitchen as much as possible. How exciting ... your surgery is just around the corner. Best wishes!!! If you would like to recieve some encouraging emails while in the hospital you can post your first and last name or email someone your name ... I found the emails and calls very uplifting, encouraging and helpful to me. If you don't want your full name posted on the message boards, we can pass it around via email if you are comfortable with that. If you would rather not, please be sure to let us know how you are doing when you get home and are back up to posting. Hugs, Tammy

WELCOME, I've been posting less than a week and I already feel like I am part of a wonderful new family. I'm still pre-op too -- sorry I can't help more but I know there are plenty of people out there that can! Kit

Hi, Vee Welcome to this wonderful place! I made it thru the 2 days of clear liquids by drinking LOTS and LOTS of water. I drank a lot of the DIET Sugar Free carbonated frui****er. You can get them in a range of flavors at most grocery stores for about sixty cents for a quart. I was able to taste different flavors and the carbonation helped to keep me full. Also can be one last good-bye to sodas (if you drink a lot of them). Best wishes for you on the 27th! You are in the very best of hands with Drs Wynn and Irgau. Ken

Hi! The best advise I can give you is to prepair mentally. Take your time, don't rush and listen to Dr. orders. Good luck on your procedure. Remember this is not a miracle cure you need to work your part. Try to change your old outlook on food and don't give into temptation. Your body will tell you what you are doing wrong. Listen to your body. Take your time. God is on your side. Michael http://Backninefarm.zoomshare.com http://UCIC.zoomshare.com
